The obvious. Let’s have a lark. Two school songs back to back. Zero to sixty in no time. I’ll start as Miss Malloy’s avid pupil and end up becoming the teacher. Hell, maybe even the principal. Full cycle. So I played around with the flow. Poor Kitty hissed. The claws came out. Ferocious kitty. Heart By Heart is in a great spot. The last true rocker. Before we wind down. Even after Poor Kitty won the battle I wasn’t sure where to place this little nugget. So I did what I usually do. I got on with my day. I flew the tracks into the MediaRoom setup and blasted away. Oh, the neighbours love it when I do this. I usually sing along. Plenty of off-key ad lib harmony lines to go around. Blesses to all who put up with my world’s oldest teenager antics. And bless my heart for meaning well. Anyway. Vacuum. Do dishes. Bake a cake. Shock Jehovah Witnesses when they come to your door. But. Listen to the flow. Eventually our little Heart By Heart found her way into the number nine spot. It’s pretty magical when you find the album flow that works for you. Think about it from my point of view. Listening to these songs day in and day out. Eating, sleeping and breathing these little numbers. These toe-tappers, if you will. So, oh you know it. When the magic combo finally hits you. After it happens more than once you begin to recognize that certain feeling. The magic stumble. You know that baby. Dare I say, heart by heart … xoRJ
