Birthday Girl ~ C’mon Birthday Girl .. not sure if I cheated on this one or not. I promised you twenty-five demos before the end of 2018. Finished this one at 11:45 December 31st. Mama Gisele’s birthday. Obviously not about her as a good time was had by all. There’s always the sad girl though. Every story has one. And we all stumble and fall. No perfect girl, no perfect world. Everybody breaks a little sometimes. If you’re lucky enough someone will be there to catch you and gently put you down to earth. Maybe that in itself is the start of the great mend. Fireflies all agree. My birthday is coming up soon. Not much of a chance of me being the “birthday girl” .. not a big fan of cake. Wasn’t sure which way to go on this one so I left it earthy. If I seriously consider taking this song further I may transpose it. Actually had one of the 12-string tracks capoed on the second fret. And still rough vocals all the way around. Wanted to add some slide to this one. Still not sure about the fades. Needs work. Fireflies all agree .. big sigh .. xoRJ
