Big Stone House ~ Was going through the photos and saw one taken of my grandma Anna. An older shot but not as far back as the Porky the Wonder dog days. I only ever knew one grandma growing up. Mr. Bert’s mom died when he was fourteen. Flashbacks. I’m back in the present. The window’s open and it’s a beautiful sunny day. Butterflies and small birds are flocking around the newly painted red birdhouse. I’m such an artiste`... And wouldn't you know it, the smell of freshly baked bread wanders in from down the street. Hello! I'm three or four years old again. Watching grandma roll out her bread dough humming an old French song while she’s doing it. I don't know. She has a way. An inspirational song is how I see this. Your heart is your home. Your big stone house. We love and miss people and get left behind. But look around you. Find that table made of Oak. Soulmate, twin flames, kindred spirits. Not always what we expect. Give thanks. Find contentment. And stone to build with. Be at peace while you're here. Your heart is your hearth, I hope it rages on .. xoRJ
