about
I retrieved this one from the vault, written in '80 or '81 while I was on tour with Slydr. I did write lyrics for the tune but discarded them once the band jammed it. So now it's one of the three instrumentals I've ever written. I remember sitting out on the patio of my motel room, drinking cheap red wine, smoking cigarettes and playing acoustic guitar under a hot summer moon the size of Texas. The rest of the band had jumped in the bus and headed off to a party and here I was having my own. This was just a few days after I had written 'The Rover' and I wanted to add a bit of the same muscle to the new song. I had most of the song completed when I took it back inside. Muted T.V. featuring a candy commercial prompted the song's title. I seem to recall a famous blonde actress appearing in it as well. Anyway, the song is a lot of fun to play and it's great when you've got another player to trade off lead solos with ... treats.
